By now you’ve probably heard that a new version of Blogger is in the works. Beta testing and demos are already underway. Today, while in the A-Lister Executive Washroom, I was made privvy to some of the exciting new features of Blogger v.2. Allow me to share:

• Fully SXSW compliant
  
• Every time you post an entry, Google’s stock goes up 4¢.
  
• Customizable skins, including the Jason Kottke Pinup skin, are sure to be a hit.
  
• Your password is now thoughtfully posted into your entry for easy retrieval.
  
• Logging in for the first time automatically registers you in the 2003 Bloggies.
  
• The interface now sports four full buttons! With bevels!
  
• Archived posts now get accidentally deleted at blazing DSL speed!
  
• Every time you post an entry with a link to an A-Lister, an angel gets their wings.
  
• Sure it has fewer features than Greymatter, Movable Type or pMachine, but it’s Blogger dammit! How cool is that?
