Here’s a great trick: How to find free hidden MP3s. A lot of people store their MP3s on unsecured directories, not realizing that they are connected to a web server. It’s pretty easy to track them down.

Go to Google.
In the search box, type: index apache mp3 insertnameofbandhere.

Obviously, you are going to replace insertnameofbandhere with the band or song you are hunting for. That’s it! I found several obscure industrial bands on the first try.

Not to bring down a good thing, but aren't we sucking up the bandwidth of some poor guy/girl who who just stored some mp3s on their server for their own purposes?

Furthermore, is the answer to that question really going to stop me from doing it?

This has many uses. I was looking for images of Cleopatra for the life sized replica of her that my daughter needs to make by Wednesday. Rather than swim through 50 pages of google images, mostly of people's dogs named Cleopatra, I used: apache index jpg cleopatra and found what I was looking for immediately.

Now all I need is a child who gives me more than two days notice on major projects.
