The Burger King fast food chain is offering some type of special associated with the release of the Lord of the Rings movie. They are selling clear, plastic goblets that have tiny red LEDs in the base.
Right. Just like the kind they had back in the Middle Ages.
I hate these things with a passion.
Actually, they're glass. And the characters on them have pointy noses.
the goblet s are an interesting interpretation of the fantasy theme, i thought - though getting little plastic imitation rings that made you practically invisible and destroyed your soul would have been much MUCH better...
They serve mead in BK?
Sure right along with the Leg O’ Mutton Kids Meal.
It might just be because I was up way earlier than normal this morning, but I read that as:
I think they may have banned mutton from kids in the U.S. Not sure though.
Some kids?
You need to leave a few. Who else will peel the potatoes?
Machines. :)
They have machines to turn kids into mutton? Neat!
just curious--is anyone else absolutely terrified of what they're going to do to the story with the new movie? i mean, they cast liv tyler as arwen and put her on a bk cup. she has maybe five sentences dedicated to her in the book.
He said. She said. There’s 12 Comments
Hate. Hate!
Grr.

I like glases with pointy noses.
Also they are capacious.
Good for filling up on wine supplied at your company's Friday afternoon decompression bash, if you still have a job where they still allow a budget for such frivolities. Not like I do. But I remember.
Anyway. Pointy nosed glasses make me happy. Note that you are not required to buy their artery clogging food to get them, either; it's just $0.20 cheaper if you do.

it's the plastic figurines that make me cry ... it's like little plastic jesus's - as soon as they are put into that little hand-size form they lose all the power they once held.
damn all the moneymakers and easily-fooled public!
