It’s bad enough that I have a geek career and own six computers. Now I gotta look like one? Well ... more than usual I mean. Uuurrrrrggggghhh!

I was just talking to Tami not fifteen minutes ago. I heard a small click and suddenly my glasses fell from my face. My $600 glasses. They were bisected right through the center of the bridge. No idea how. Until i get a new pair, they are being held together with epoxy. No, I didn’t use black tape. I’m not that bad.

And a few months ago, I was sitting at my desk at work when the screw that holds the left earpiece to the frame of my glasses fell out. I wasn't doing anything unusual with the glasses, the screw just fell out. And these are fancy-shmancy Calvin Klein frames, as seen on some of your fancier yuppie model faces.

So I had to ask one of my co-workers to run to the drugstore and pick me up a glasses repair kit. Good thing I got it, too, because the exact same thing happened about 2 weeks ago. Now I'm all paranoid, and checking the screws every 15 minutes. What if a screw falls out while I'm on the train, going home? I'm screwed!

Yeah, at least the screws are easily replaceable. The frames are not. :^(

Yeah I buy those crazy Japanese glasses. Really seems worth it when they snap in half of their own accord after a year.
