October 23, 2001 :: "Here comes the rain"

I woke up to pelting rains and high winds. A perfect October day in my opinion [I love storms]. Driving through it is another matter. All through dark, winding streets of Royal Oak, my windshield was slapped with wet, heavy leaves that kept catching under the wipers. The minute I crossed Dequindre Road, which happens to be the county line, the rain stopped. The other side of the road was completely dry.

Apparently my county forgot to pay its Storm Protection Tax.
