this is off topic but it’s a funny ass prayer that i was told yesterday.
Serenity Under Pressure
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill because they pissed me off. And also, help me to be careful of the toes I step on today, as they may be connected to the ass that I may have to kiss tomorrow. Help me to always give 100% at work: 12% on Monday, 23% on Tuesday, 40% on Wednesday, 20% on Thursday, 5% on Friday. And help me to remember: When I’m having a really bad day, and it seems that people are trying to piss me off, that it takes 42 muscles to frown and only 4 to extend my middle finger and tell them to bite me.

BTW I have two teenage daughters, one of which will go to extreme lengths to not follow rules - including lying about her parents. It’s not funny.
Ted couldn’t stand it any more. After years of being told, “Don’t do that” and “Stop doing that” he decided to change Detroit. I’m tired of this place and their controlling nature. I’m outta here and I’m taking my name with me! :o
Here I thought it was because of the whole, “practice makes perfect” stuff. I wouldn’t wanna risk it and “makin’ babies” is one thing I love to practice, practice, practice!!

update: my father is awake now. There’s fear of brain damage so he’ll be checked out some more. He goes from being completely competent almost to where it’s similar to speaking to a two year old and his motor functions are similar. He had an entire conversation with me then when his wife asked if I had been there before he said no. She hasn’t come to see me yet. It’s painful. I’m happy he’s awake and thrilled that he gets so excited when I walk in his room but I felt a dagger in my heart when his wife asked him who I was and you could see him thinking real hard but said nothing. He was struggling and he’s say “I know who this is, it’s…” nothing… Sunday he knew my name and that he has a grandson. He understood perfectly the conversation and responded, then he got confused and kept yelling at my brother to go get his shoes from the closet. He pulls out his IV’s and they put mittens on him at night. It’s painful to see him that way but I have hope that he’ll be ok. I’m glad though that he knows me well enough to feel excited that I’m there, even if he can’t remember my name or that I’ve been spending the weekends with him…He knows I’m his daughter. He can’t express it but he can feel it and I can see it. I continue to have faith and sincerely thank you all for having us in your prayers, best wishes or otherwise.
I’m always interested in more practice, but if doing it perfectly means seeing a little :D pop out, I’ll just go back to more practicing. Hmmm, sounds like a road trip around the world to me!

It’s scary just how easy it can happen, too. The justice system seems inclined to side with the ‘victim’ and shoot first, plaster the accused all over the media, and then maybe try to find out if it really happened. Don’t get me wrong. Abuse does happen and it’s ugly and un-excusable with the truly guilty deserving just punishment, but the ‘abuse card’ is too easy to play for revenge. It’s a genie that oce gets out, will never quite go away. The falsely accused will forever have that stigma where he/she will never be fully trusted again. I’m a service tech and go into people’s houses all the time. Company policy says there has to be a legally aged person there or we won’t enter and, yes, I do have customers who say that their 12 year old daughter will let me in…
“But officer, I swear I wasn’t walking here! It was that guy over there!”
It kinda makes pedestrians out to be the barbarian horde.
