Rottweilers, cats and Q-Tips

Last night, the lovely Natalie and I had dinner with the adorably witty Melissa and her charming husband, Logan. Those two are quite a pair and kept us laughing all night. Her retelling of the evening is far better than I could do, so please read her version. She includes an excellent description of our harrowing encounter with Rottweiler Man, whose stinky breath I can still feel on my neck.

    Spud, you paying attention?

I followed the link over to Melissa’s site, and read her description of the night. “There we found out Dave used to work with and still knows the one boyfriend my sister had who my brother and I loved and wished with all our beings she’d marry. We wished it so hard that now, just under 10 years since they dated, my brother and I end our phone calls wistfully, “Remember that guy, Monday? God Damn it…I wish they were still dating.”

OK. Monday is a legend, fine. And obviously nobody would wish their sister on you. But couldn’t they be a little nicer to me knowing that I adored the girl so much that I even took a shower and put on a tie so I could be her date to their wedding? Is it too much to ask for people to assume that if they put it on the internet, that I will be reading it? A little sensitivity people.

It is almost enough to make me turn in my ex-Mr. Teri Association Membership Card

Wrong Spud, Spud. There was a Spud who lived out here (he may still) that Aaron and I both knew. Sorry for the confusion.
